TV show: Dexter (2006 - ?) |
|
I never have been much of a TV lover. Forcing myself to remember when my favorite show is on, adding the times to my Google calendar, being there on time (you can't miss the opening frame).
SIRIUS NFL Radio...Every Game, Every Week, Every Where
Given this dilemma, TV has never worked for me so instead I favor DVDs where it's more self-paced (play when I desire, pause when I need to walk away, ah yes the life). Being that I rarely watch TV it's rare for me to discover a new show--occasionally I am lucky. My latest discovery is "Dexter". The tagline for this Crime Thriller is "Takes life. Seriously".
"Dexter", starring Michael C. Hall, is a dark mildly humorous Crime Thriller about a police forensics expert named Dexter Morgan who has a secret...he's a serial killer. Immediately you're be reminded of the popular Vegas based show "CSI". "Dexter" however is played light, probably so the audiences will fall for the charming killer. A darker venture would repress his charm.
This is definitely not a show for younger audiences; explicit dialogue, profanity ("F" words), the violence, and of course the killer instincts of our hero suggests a mature audience only.
