"Superman Returns", one the most highly anticipated films of the years, surrounded by years of rumors that it was coming, finally arrives and is everything but super. Considering the advancement in the special effects department it's appalling "Superman Returns" fails to impress in the visual. Now let's examine the rigid, charisma-lacking lead Brandon Routh and his love interested played by a Kate Bosworth, who fails to rise to the occasion of Lois Lane. Even Academy Award winner Kevin Spacy ("The Usual Suspects"), as the ambitious Lex Luther, seems out of place, abandoned to another film, distant from our superhero.
