"Can I have one last first kiss?"

Imagine dating a girl who has a short-term memory, and after every day, you have to make her fall in love with again.

Henry Roth (Adam Sandler) is a such a guy, and whether it be unfortunate or not, he's fallen for Lucy (Drew Barrymore), a car accident victim with brain damage.

"50 First Dates" all begins with the usual crude humor offered in Adam Sandler vehicles, but then surprising glides into a warm and tender romantic comedy, that delivers via it's two stars chemistry, some humorous dialogue, and an overall, engaging love story that promotes true love to the highest degree. Well it must be love, for why else would one put themselves to such torment as this? Most importantly, the films is guaranteed to offer it's audience smirks, even those who normally reject Sandler films.

Director Peter Segal's resume includes "Anger Management" (Adam Sandler), "Nutty Professor II: The Klumps" (Eddie Murphy), "My Fellow Americans" (James Garner), "Tommy Boy" (Chris Farley), and "Naked Gun 33 1/3: The Final Insult" (Leslie Nielsen).

Comedian Adam Sandler seems to be more laid back than usual, excusing himself from his usual angry roles that abound with crude humor, slapstick violence, of which is normally childish and immature. Sandler seems to be pursing normal characters, not these ten year olds with adult body's like in "The Waterboy" or in "Billy Madison". His films include "Anger Management", "Little Nicky", "Mr. Deeds", and "Punch-Drunk Love".

The adorable and always likable Drew Barrymore previously had a romantic outing with Sandler in "The Wedding Singer", and fortunately, "50 First Dates" repeats that same success. Her films include "Duplex", "Charlie's Angels", "Donnie Darko", "Riding in Cars with Boys", and "Ever After".

The cast includes funnyman Rob Schneider ("The Hot Chick", "The Animal"), offering our crude humor, Sean Astin ("The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King", "The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers"), Lusia Strus ("Soul Survivors"), Dan Aykroyd ("Crossroads", "Pearl Harbor"), Amy Hill ("Cheaper by the Dozen", "The Cat in the Hat"), Allen Covert ("Anger Management", "Mr. Deeds"), Blake Clark ("Intolerable Cruelty", "Mr. Deeds"), Maya Rudolph ("Duplex", "As Good as It Gets"), and Pomaika'i Brown.

"50 First Dates" is really "Groundhog Day" and "Memento" if Adam Sandler starred. While there might not be numerous laughs, "50 First Dates" offers enough to draw in audiences, creating an enjoyable experience; especially for fans of the cast - specifically those who enjoyed "The Wedding Singer".
