Batman 2, “The Dark Knight” was just released on DVD last week. Rumor has it Batman 3 is already in the writing stages...And according to the rumors an Oscar winner might be portraying the new villain.

Potential villains are Catwoman, the Penguin, and the Riddler. Rumor has it Academy Award nominee Johnny Depp has been in talks to play the Riddler. Depp has yet to win an Oscar however.
Another rumor is circulating that Academy Award winner Philip Seymour Hoffman will tackle the Penguin. We unfortunately remember the Danny DeVito version in “Batman Returns”.
Many are saying Catwoman will be a potential villain with Academy Award winner Angelina Jolie or Academy Award winner Rachel Weisz as contenders for the role.
