Netflix lets you rent, watch and return DVDs from home - Try free for 2 weeks In the 80s director Howard Deutch was bringing us flicks like “Pretty in Pink”, “Some Kind of Wonderful”, and “The Great Outdoors”. In 1995 he delivered the memorable Jack Lemmon/Walter Matthau vehicle “Grumpier Old Men”. Today, we are forced to fully disregard anything from Deutch-he’s no longer a creditable Romantic/Comedy director. Despite “My Best Friend’s Girl” having a well-known cast including Alec Baldwin, Jaosn Biggs, and Kate Hudson, it is the films lead, comedian Dane Cook, who struggles to transform his dislikable character into that charming hero that deserves the girl by conclusion.
