Gomez Addams (Raul Julia), his pale and striking wife Morticia Addams (Anjelica Huston), the gloom daughter Wednesday Addams (Christina Ricci), and the mischievous son Pugsley Addams (Jimmy Workman), all help miracously bring to life a treasured television classic.
When a threatening debt comes back to haunt him, Tully Alford (Dan Hedaya), the Addams' Attorney, suggests the most devious plan against the Addams: have Gordon Craven (Christopher Lloyd) impersonate the long-lost brother of Gomez Adams, Uncle Fester. By posing as the long-lost relative, Gordon can locate the Addams' vault, and then clean Tully of the debt's he owes.
"The Addams Family" if anything, is one of the most delightfully fun movies of the year. While there may not be many laughs, a constant smirk will lay across viewers faces throughout the feature.
Director Barry Sonnenfeld brilliantly captures the creepy but fun atmosphere of our strange and bizarre family. Even a more challenging task, his talented cast brings life to the family yet again.
