Women: What Men Want to See in Your Profile
Expert Flirting Tips “My husband is not my husband.” Psychiatrist Carol Bennell (Nicole Kidman) has noted the strange demeanor of those surrounding her: disconnected, emotionless, and muted. The media claims it is a virus, an outbreak. Carol Bennell and Ben Driscoll (Daniel Craig) know it something far more terrifying. How do you avoid it: “Do not trust anyone. Do not show emotion. Do not fall asleep.” It is a shame that more will witness “The Invasion” starring Nicole Kidman than the original 1956 effort ”The Invasion of the Body Snatchers”, one of the finest in the genre. In the original there was this constant mystery, a sense of urgency as the good doctor frowned to hear another patient claiming ‘my husband is not my husband’, ‘my wife is not my wife’. The original did not reveal its alien presence immediately, instead suggested the psychological. The love affair felt genuine, enough that the audiences would buy the characters willingness to deny their own life for the protection of those they loved.
In this outing Academy Award winner Nicole Kidman (“The Hours”) and Daniel Craig share little to none romantic chemistry; perhaps because the film focuses on the mother/son bond theme and fails to give much screen time to the dual. Daniel Craig (“Munich”, “Layer Cake”) does very little other that desire Kidman. During the filming of “The Invasion” Craig received the call he had won the James Bond role; meaning his role of Ben Driscoll is below the new 007. “The Invasion” flawed with ineffective subplots, mediocre performances, sloppy execution—unfortunately an unsatisfactory effort.
